Duliajan is the assembly constituency which comes under the Dibrugarh district. It is one of the 126 Assam Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Assam Assembly Election 2021 for Duliajan was held on March 27 and the result was declared on May 2.
Duliajan assembly constituency had 1,38,356 electors in 2016, out of which 70,757 were male voters and 67,599 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 2.0% votes.
In the Assam Legislative Assembly Election 2016, Duliajan constituency had 11 candidates for assembly seat contention. Duliajan was one of 60 seats won by the Indian National Congress. Bharatiya Janta Party's Terash Gowalla won the election by upstaging Indian National Congress's Dhruba Jyoti Gogoi by a margin of 17,086 votes.
89.5% of votes were split between top 2 candidates. Bharatiya Janta Party's Terash Gowalla secured a total of 58,450 votes, while Indian National Congress's Dhruba Jyoti Gogoi got 41,364 votes. Independent candidate Amiya Gogoi grabbed 4,376 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 52.4%, 37.1% and 3.9% respectively.
In Assam Assembly election 2011, Indian National Congress's Amiya Gogoi outperformed Bharatiya Janta Party's Rameswar Teli by 3,336 votes.
