Chapaguri is the assembly constituency which comes under the Nalbari district. It is one of the 126 Assam Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Assam Assembly Election 2021 for Chapaguri was held on April 6 and the result was declared on May 2.

Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Shyamaprasad Halder grabbed the third spot with 27,342 votes. The top three parties got 38.5%, 37.2% and 24.3% respectively.
In Assam Assembly election 2011, Bodaland Peoples Front's Shyama Prasad Mukherjee outperformed Asom Gana Parisad's Ghosh Swapan by 9,857 votes.
