UP board result 2017: Tejaswi Devi tops Class 10 and Priyanshi Tiwari Class 12 exam

UP board result 2017: Girls did better than boys in the high school or Class 10 and intermediate or Class 12 board examinations 2017, results of which were announced by the UP Board on Friday.

The overall pass percentage for Class 10 was recorded at 81.18 and girls did better in the exam as 86.50% cleared the exam against 76.75% boys. In Class 12, 82.62% students were declared successful this year. Girl outshined boys in the exam as 88.80% passed the exam as compared to 77.16% boys.

Tejaswi Devi with 95.83% topped in Class 10 exams and Priyanshi Tiwari with 96.20 aced the Class 12 exams. Both are from Fatehpur district.

The board’s director Amarnath Verma and secretary Shail Yadav announced the results at its headquarters in Allahabad.

Steps to check the UP board result 2017 class 10 and UP board result 2017 class 12:

1) Go to the official website by clicking on the link provided above

2) Click on the link for Class 10 or Class 12 results

3) Key in the desired details (your roll number) and verification code and submit

4) The result will be displayed on the screen

The board deployed strict measures to check use of unfair means in the exams and also provided coded answer sheets in 31 districts of the state that were identified as sensitive.

Over 60,61,030 candidates - 34,04,715 for Class 10 and 26,56,319 for Class 12 - registered for the high school and intermediate exams this year.

However, due to strict vigilance, 5,94,503 candidates left the exams midway and 1,862 examinees were caught copying.

In some districts, mass copying was reported due to which 69 exams of various subjects were cancelled and 91 schools were debarred from holding the board exams for the next five years.

The evaluation of board’s around 4.6 crore answer sheets began from April 27 at 253 evaluation centres in the state. The answer sheets were checked by 1.37 lakh teachers.
