NEST 2016 results announced, check them here

The results of the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2016 were announced on Friday.

The test was held to screen candidates for a 5-year integrated MSc programme, in basic sciences, at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai.

The examination was held at 56 towns and cities across India on May 28.

Those who had appeared in the exam can check their results on the NEST 2016 website.

How to check the results:

1) Go to the official website

2) Click on ‘view result’ at the bottom of the page to go to the log-in page

3) Provide required details like roll number and date of birth or application number and date of birth.

4) Click on ‘go’

5) The result will be displayed on the screen

The MSc programme at NISER and CBS follows a semester-based course structure and continuous assessment system. Those admitted to this programme are eligible for scholarship of Rs 5,000 per month and Rs 20,000 per year for carrying out summer projects. Besides, top performers are eligible to appear directly for the interview for admission to Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Training School.
