Haryana Board HBSE 12th result 2018: Naveen’s hardwork showed in his Class 12 results that were announced by the Haryana Board on Friday. He topped the entire state by scoring 98.2% in the medical stream.
Waking up Haryana board Class 12 topper Naveen in the morning wasn’t much a problem for his mother. All she had to do was whisper word the ‘doctor’ in his ears.
Naveen’s hardwork showed in his Class 12 results that were announced by the Haryana Board on Friday. He topped the entire state by scoring 98.2% in the medical stream.
“I always wake him up early morning with a glass of milk. All I have to say is: ‘utho beta doctor banna hai padh lo’ (wake-up and start studying so can become doctor). He wouldn’t throw a tantrum and would get up immediately,” said Naveen’s mother Roshni Devi said.
Naveen, who uses only one name, said since childhood he had been encouraged by his father to become a doctor and help the needy. “I was sure I would get good marks, but when my school principal told me I have topped the state I actually had to take a moment to believe if it’s true,” he said.
Naveen’s father, a registered medical practitioner himself, is proud to find that his dream of his son becoming an MBBS doctor will become reality soon. “I could not become an MBBS, so I wanted my son to do that. I feel so proud today. He scored 100 out of 100 in Biology and Computer Science. What more could a father ask for,” said his father Ran Singh.
Naveen’s principal at Holy Child Senior Secondary School, RS Sindhu, said the boy was hard-working and dedicated from the very beginning. “He scored good in 10th class, getting 5th position in the state. Now, he has topped in Haryana. We are proud of him and wish him a succesful future.”
Naveen’s mother is a housewife and his elder sister is pursuing M.Sc Maths from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
