The second session of JEE Main started on April 2 and will continue till April 8.
Here are some important exam day instructions for candidates:
- Report at the exam centre well in time, preferably two hours before the test begins.
- Take your seat immediately after the examination hall opens. Candidates who do not report in time due to reasons such as traffic jams, train/bus delays, etc., are likely to miss some of the important instructions to be announced at the examination rooms/halls. NTA said it will not be responsible for any delay in the candidate's reaching the examination centre.
- Bring a printed copy of the admit card to the exam hall and a valid photo identity proof.
- Make sure that the question paper available on the computer is the one you have opted for. If it is different, inform the invigilator about it.
- Do not bring instruments, geometry or pencil box, purse, paper, stationary or textual material (both printed or written), eatables and water (loose or packed), mobile phone, earphones, microphone, pager, calculator, docupen, slide rules, log tables, camera, tape recorder, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, metallic item and any other electronic gadgets inside the exam hall.

JEE Main Analysis 2025 Live: The Chemistry section was also easy to moderate. It featured many statement-based questions, which were straightforward and easy to score. Almost all chapters were covered, but Inorganic Chemistry had the highest weightage, while Physical and Organic Chemistry were moderately represented. Most theoretical questions were directly from NCERT, and Physical Chemistry had fewer numerical questions.

JEE Main Analysis 2025 Live: The Physics section was easy to moderate, with a strong emphasis on numerical and formula-based questions. Major topics such as Mechanics, Modern Physics, Electrostatics, Optics, and Units and measurements were well-represented. However, AC and Magnetism, Rotation, and EMI had fewer questions. While some questions were time-consuming, most were straightforward, making this section a high-scoring opportunity.

JEE Main 2025 Live: The paper conducted on the April 4 morning shift was moderate in overall difficulty. It was well-structured and error-free, allowing students to attempt all questions comfortably. Among the three sections, Physics and Chemistry ranged from easy to moderate, while Mathematics was the most challenging. The question distribution was balanced across topics.
