MS Dhoni had an emotional reunion with Kuldeep Yadav after the CSK vs DC match on Wednesday.
The Chennai Super Kings took another strong step towards securing a berth in the playoffs of 2023 Indian Premier League on Wednesday, as they defeated Delhi Capitals by 27 runs in Chennai. The CSK produced an impressive performance on a slow surface at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, posting a competitive score of 167/8 in 20 overs; in reply, the Capitals could only reach 140/8.
CSK skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was crucial to the side's win, as he produced an aggressive batting display during the final overs of the innings; he smashed 20 off just 9 balls after arriving in the 17th over of the game, providing a late boost. Dhoni's batting in this season has been a pleasant surprise to many, as the CSK captain boasts a strike rate of 203 in the lower-order.

The CSK skipper played a key role in both, Kuldeep and Yuzvendra Chahal's development in the early years, passing on important instructions to the duo from behind the wickets.
And so, as Dhoni met Kuldeep, he put his hand on his head as a sign of affection before the duo shared a hug.

The Delhi Capitals are likely to be knocked out of the race for playoffs after they conceded their seventh defeat of the season in 11 games.
