SRH vs KKR: During the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was able to keep Andre Russell quiet and the India pacer ultimately dismissed him for 15.

Andre Russell has been enjoying a brilliant run of form in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) and his destructive stroke play has made him a major threat for any bowler.

After the innings, Bhuvneshwar explained his game plan against the dangerous Russell and said that he ‘wouldn’t mind giving him two sixes and getting him out’.

“We had got a plan for him. I wouldn’t mind giving him two sixes and getting him out. I wanted to mix it up for him. I bowled two yorkers, one slower ball and one bouncer to him. I just didn’t want to bowl only yorkers to him. The wicket is but on the slower side. If you have wickets in hands after the six overs, you can chase it. Just wanted to go through a few games to get my rhythm back. The way I am bowling now, I am pretty happy,” the pacer explained.

Khaleel Ahmed grabbed three wickets in an impressive spell to help Sunrisers Hyderabad restrict Kolkata Knight Riders 159 for 8. The 21-year-old speedster removed Sunil Narine (25 off 7 balls), who was looking dangerous in his first spell and then came back to dismiss Shubman Gill (3) and Chris Lynn (51) in his corresponding spells to keep KKR in check.

Bhuvneshwar returned with the figures of 2/35 while leg-spinner Rashid Khan (1/23) and seamer Sandeep Sharma (1/37) took a wicket apiece with the Sunrisers’ bowlers making life difficult for the KKR batsmen.
