Preity Zinta prays at Khajrana Mandir before Kings XI Punjab match, priest posts video on FB
Preity Zinta, co-owner of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), made a visit to Khajrana Mandir in Indore ahead of their Indian Premier League (IPL 2018) ‘home’ game vs Rajasthan Royals at Holkar Stadium.
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) have been one of the top teams the 2018 Indian Premier League, and currently sit at third spot on the points table (six wins, three defeats). (IPL standings)
The team that underwent drastic changes in the IPL 2018 auction has found new heroes in KL Rahul, Chris Gayle and Karun Nair with the bat, whereas young Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman has been a revelation alongside Andrew Tye and Ankit Rajpoot.
With the team recently shifting its base to the Holkar Stadium in Indore for a couple of matches, the co-owner Preity Zinta took the opportunity to visit Khajrana Mandir -- the famous Lord Ganesha temple -- in the city.

It is a well-known fact that Indian cricket team Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane never misses visiting the Khajrana Mandir whenever he is in the city, and the Bollywood actor decided to pray for the Lord’s blessings.
But her attempt to visit the temple with her head covered in a scarf (to avoid getting noticed by fans) did not work, as the priest not only identified her but also made a social media post after obtaining the CCTV footage of Zinta’s visit.
In the video, Preity Zinta can be seen offering her prayers to Lord Ganesha, but at the same time she was identified by those who were around her.
The Bollywood actress could also be seen requesting the fans not to create a ruckus. She was reportedly accompanied by only one security guard.
