PBKS vs LSG IPL 2025 Highlights: PBKS thrash LSG by 37 runs

Arshdeep dismissed openers Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh in his second over and then got the all-important wicket of Nicholas Pooran in his next. Rishabh Pant failed to make an impact once again, losing his bat and his wicket at the same time on 18 off 17. Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad then put up an 81-run stand off 41 balls. Samad missed out on a half-century but Badoni got there in 32 balls.

Prabhsimran Singh led the way while captain Shreyas Iyer and Shashank Singh added their own big-hitting magic dust as Punjab Kings posted a daunting total of 236/5 against Lucknow Super Giants in Dharamsala. Shashank joined Prabhsimran Singh after the dismissal of captain Shreyas Iyer and took the Punjab Kings run rate to a different level. Prabhsimran, who scored his fourth consecutive half-century, was then dismissed just nine runs short of a century.

Prabhsimran powered Punjab Kings' dominance after they were put to bat first by Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant. He sailed past 50 a fourth consecutive time and put up a 78-run stand with captain Shreyas Iyer which came in just 47 balls. Prabhsimran then continued the middle-over assault from PBKS even after the latter fell.

Punjab were handed an early blow at Dharamsala, where they have lost the last times they played here, with explosive opener Priyansh Arya falling in the first over. However, Josh Inglis then came in and tonked the first four balls he faced for a four and three sixes. Prabhsimran Singh also scored at a strong rate with the returning Mayank Yadav shredded to pieces by the two batters. Inglis fell in the fifth over, making it two wickets lost in the powerplay for PBKS but they did score a healthy 66 runs in the period as well. Rishabh Pant earlier won the toss and said that Lucknow Super Giants will be bowling first in their IPL 2025 match against Punjab Kings.
