The IPL fever is well and truly on and Chennai Super Kings, one of the sides which commands a wide and perhaps the most exuberant fan base have hit the ground running.

The stands were open for the fans for the first practice session of the team at the M Chidambaram stadium and this was a brilliant move as the crowd helped build a tremendous atmosphere.
The loudest cheers were, however, reserved for their captain MS Dhoni, who walked out to thunderous applause and loud cheers. The captain walked out towards the practice wicket, took guard for his stint and this was enough for the fans to cheer him on.
CSK has already had the ball rolling by dropping a teaser about the last season in which Dhoni talks about match-fixing and how the team was dragged through the dirt. He also says that this hurt the players who put in extra effort to win the title.

“The biggest crime that I can commit is not a murder. It’s actually match-fixing. The team was involved. I was accused too. It was a tough phase for all of us,” Dhoni tells in the teaser of Hotstar’s documentary.
Dhoni added: “Fans felt the punishment was harsh. Coming back was an emotional moment. I have always said ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you strong’.”
