IPL 2019, DC vs CSK: Numbers reveal biggest threat for MS Dhoni’s CSK ahead of Delhi clash
Delhi and Super Kings have met 18 times in the IPL, with Chennai winning 12 of the meetings and Delhi the other six.
After stamping his authority all over the Wankhede Stadium, young Rishabh Pant will once again take centre stage in his home ground, the Feroz Shah Kotla as his side, the Delhi Capitals will host the defending champions the Chennai Super Kings.

Now, Rishabh Pant will be the main man for Delhi and rightly so, his record against CSK has been exemplary. Case in point is his record against the CSK spinners in Harbhajan Singh and Ravindra Jadeja. His strike rate against the left-arm spin of Jadeja is 155 and has been dismissed only once against him.

Against Harbhajan, it is even more dominating - Pant has faced 27 balls from Harbhajan in which he has scored 46 runs at a strike rate of 170.37. The veteran offie, who was the star of the show in Chennai for the 1st match, has not been able to dismiss the southpaw even once.
Delhi and Super Kings have met 18 times in the IPL, with Chennai winning 12 of the meetings and Delhi the other six. Both sides are off to emphatic starts in the IPL this year, and the contest at Kotla could well be a humdinger.
Spinners are expected to dominate proceedings, and this would only gladden CSK. Last season, spinners averaged 31.5 and conceded 7.8 per over at the venue, while the quicks averaged 34.6 and conceded runs at 9.4 per over.
Pant’s record against the CSK spinners, hence, is great news for the hosts and this also perhaps makes him the player to watch out for.
