India vs England Highlights 3rd Test Day 4, IND vs ENG: From 0-1 down in Hyderabad, to 2-1 win in Rajkot! India dominated in every department in the Rajkot Test, en route to scripting their biggest-ever win in history. Jaiswal completed his second double ton. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a double century for the second time in two Tests while Sarfaraz Khan scored his second half-century of his maiden Test as the pair unleashed carnage. They put up an unbeaten 172-run stand for the sixth wicket which came in just 158 balls and helped India set a England a mammoth target of 557 to chase. India declared on 430/4.
Earlier, Shubman Gill and Kuldeep Yadav started the day well but it was disappointment for the former as he fell on 91. Jaiswal returned to the crease, resuming his innings on 106 after he retired hurt on Day 3. Jaiswal and Sarfaraz were watchful early on and then unleashed themselves towards the last half an hour of the first session, taking India's lead to 440 at Lunch. Jaiswal stood one run away from reaching 150 in a second consecutive Test.
Jaiswal showed almost all facets of his game on Day 3. He took an utter stunner of a catch at slips to get rid of Joe Root early in the day, which sparked England's collapse. It was the event that changed the tide in the match, England were dominant until that point but India wrestled back control over the course of the day. Jaiswal then played a almost a dour innings to get to his half-century in the early part of India's innings. He then unleashed his T20 shots and reached his third Test century in just his 12th Test innings. Jaiswal raced from 35 off 73 to 88 off 101 at one point, 53 runs in just 28 balls.
Jaiswal started having trouble with his back after scoring his century and eventually, the physio was called for and he had to walk off. He tried to play an over after some attention from the physio. However, the opener then decided to walk off after that over on 104 off 133 balls, his innings peppered with nine fours and five sixes. Rajat Patidar replaced him but fell for a 10-ball duck to Tom Hartley after which nightwatcher Kuldeep saw off 15 balls for three runs.

"I was just looking to build partnerships with Rohit, we were in a difficult situation, look to back my strengths, play my shots, not try and be more conscious. Watch the ball and play the ball. I know about this wicket, if we bat first, it is always good to bat on, in the second half it starts spinning, when Rohit won the toss, we were thinking: this is all what we wanted, bat first bowl second. On this wicket you won't get easy wickets, you have to work hard for it. You need to throw balls in good areas, you have to earn your wickets."

"When you are playing Test cricket, it is not played over 2-3 days. We do understand the importance of playing over 5 days. They played well and put us under pressure. We have got class in our bowling, the message was to stay calm and I'm really proud of how we came back the next day. When those things happen, it's a delight. For this game, we thought he has got so much experience and has got a lot of runs as well, we wanted that left-right combo, Sarfaraz with the quality he has got, we wanted him to have time. It's not a long-term view, we go with the flow and what we feel on that particular day, looking at the opposition, the bowling attack. We calculate everything and then go with the flow. Lots of turning points, was a good toss to win , we know how important in India it is to win the toss, the way we came back and bowled after that onslaught. The bowlers showed a lot of character, not to forget we did not have our most experienced bowler as well. With the bat we knew the job was half-done, those two youngsters got us the lead we wanted and obviously Jadeja with the ball in the 2nd innings was superb. [on Jaiswal] I have spoken a lot about him, in Vizag as well, people outside the changeroom have spoken as well. I don't want to talk too much about him, he has started his career on a high, I want him to continue doing, yeah looks a good player."

"I’m just trying to make it big whenever I’m set. In Test cricket you never know, I try to make sure I play as long as I can when I’m set. It was pretty difficult, initially I was not getting runs so I had to play the session and play the bowler. Then when I got set I could score the runs. I had my plans about where I could play my shots and get runs. After some time, my back was not good. I didn’t want to go out but I had to go out because it was too much. When I came back I tried to give myself time and take it as deep as I can. I knew that if I was there I would take the game forward and be there till the end. (On taking it slow initially) I was feeling there was something in the wicket and the ball was very hard, I knew it was important for me to give the team a very good start, as we have seen it has a huge impact on the team. I feel like whenever I am set I need to make it big. As all my seniors have said, when you are set, make it big and make it count. The way Rohit (Sharma) bhai and Jaddu (Jadeja) bhai played in the first innings really inspired me. The way they played session by session was incredible, the way they put effort motivated all of us."
