India vs England, 2nd Test Day 3 at Lord’s as it happened: England in box seat

Hindustan Times, New Delhi | BySayan Ghosh & Himanshu Dhingra

It was another dismal day for India as England piled on the pressure on a beleaguered visiting side, scoring at a rate of over four runs an over. India started the day well enough to leave England at 131 for 5 but a stupendous sixth wicket partnership of 189 between returning all-rounder Chris Woakes and wicketkeeper batsman Jonny Bairstow left India staring down the barrel. Mohammed Shami was the best bowler for India, picking up three wickets while Hardik Pandya scalped two. Both the Indian spinners, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin failed to do anything noteworthy on Day 3 of the Test.   India vs England as it happened on Day 3 at Lord’s -
