That was just a horrible way to end a great act of resistance and it has given Australia an opening out of nowhere. India vs Australia 4th Test Day 5 LIVE Score: Well this is quite strange and the only explanation can be that first of all Cummins is worried about Australia's over rate. Secondly, Starc's fitness is a concern and so Australia have to conserve their energies, with the best chance of wickets coming with the new ball. All this points to the fact that their task of winning this match is getting increasingly difficult. It is Lyon who bowled from the other end and Pant was beaten off the last two balls of that over.

The last time India toured Australia, Pant was at the other end of the spectrum on the aggression scale to Cheteshwar Pujara. In this session, he has batted like Pujara. That is incredible restraint from the Indian wicketkeeper. At the other end, Jaiswal has had his fair share of luck and he had an over of madness which he survived against Lyon. Otherwise, he has been just incredible. He is batting on 63 off 159 balls.

One may say that the Indians need to play like Yashasvi Jaiswal but even he has had oodles of luck to go with his remarkable patience and skill. We are seeing the absolute best the sport of cricket has to offer here and we potentially have 70 more overs of it today. Strap in! As stated earlier, it becomes a different game as the ball gets to around 25 overs old and that is just about 10 overs away. This has been a very good grind from Jaiswal and Rohit. Australia need 10 wickets and they would've targetted getting at least a wicket before drinks break in the first session. So that is one tick for India.
