IND vs AUS Live Score, 3rd Test, Day 3 Highlights: A powerful display by Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne helped Australia beat India by 9 wickets in the third Test in Indore. Chasing 76 on Day 3, Australia started on a dreadful note losing Usman Khawaja for 0. However, Head and Labuschagne kept things slow initially before going all blaze against India's spin duo Ashwin and Jadeja. Head scored an unbeaten 49 off 53 balls, which featured six boundaries and one maximum. Labuschagne scored 28*, which also included six fours. The win also saw Australia draw first blood in the ongoing edition of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, having lost the opening two encounters in Nagpur and Delhi, which were also wrapped inside three days. The match started with India winning the toss and opting to bat. However, the move backfired as India were all-out for 109, following which Australia piled 197 and took a healthy 88-run lead. India then managed 163 in the second innings, leaving Australia with a relatively easy chase. The final Test will be played in Ahmedabad, which starts from March 9. India vs Australia Live Score: Captains speak

Rohit Sharma: “There are a lot of things which didn't go our way. Obviously we didn't bat well in the first innings and we understand how important it is to put runs on the board. Once they got a 80-90 run lead, we had to produce another innings with the bat and we were not able to do that. If we had batted well in the first innings then things would have been different.”

Steve Smith: “I thought Kuhnemann was really good on the first day. All our bowlers contributed and bowled in partnerships, first innings Usman was outstanding and he's been really good for us this series. Yesterday India fought back and I thought we had to toil really hard, Puji played an outstanding innings but we really stuck at it, Nathan got all the rewards with 8 wickets but I think our bowlers as a collective were really good. It was a complete performance.”

India vs Australia Live Score: Steve Smith exploits DRS loophole

One common occurrence that many noticed was Australia's stumping tactics. Wicketkeeper Alex Carey dislodged the bails on many occasions while the batter was well inside the crease, forcing the leg umpires to send it upstairs for further examination.

This in return helped the Aussies also get a closer look on any edges, which even the close in fielders may have missed.

Sharing his thoughts on the same, former India wicketkeeper-batter Parthiv Patel highlighted how Smith made the most of the loophole and urged for a change in the DRS rule.

"Steve Smith is aware of that and he exploited the loophole. The on-field umpire should avoid going to the third umpire if he is sure that it's not out when there is an appeal for a stumping," said the ex-cricketer during an interaction on Cricbuzz

The ideal solution is that the TV umpire should only review the stumping if the appeal is made only for a stumping. A caught behind should not be checked unless the fielding captain opts for a review."

India vs Australia Live Score: ‘Positive approach’

"We will go in with a positive approach. Cricket is unpredictable and the way the wicket is playing, you never know what may happen as it is difficult to score runs on this pitch. We will bowl tight and dry the runs. It is not a shot-making pitch, there are no easy runs here. So we will bowl well and see what happens." Umesh Yadav at press conference after Day 2
