"I am very happy. My lengths were good. I have been working really hard and have been talking to Ricky Ponting. Before this also I have been talking to Rohit bhai. I haven't changed much in my bowling. The variation in pace was because I was in good rhythm. Rohit's wicket was very important. Even Pollard's wicket was very important as there were still four overs to go when he got out. The wicket is a good one. I was varying my lengths as I knew batters can step out and play it easily here."

He is single-handedly turning the game for DC and as Shen Watson just mentioned, he is “hungry” for wickets. He dismisses Anmolpreet Singh for 8 (9) as he picks his second wicket.

Second ball of his second over and Kuldeep dished out a back of the length delivery against Rohit and the MI skipper looked to go big only to find Powell in the deep. He goes back for 41.

He replaced Nagarkoti in the attack and conceded only three singles in the over.

He created the angle, got the pace, hit the right length to trouble Rohit before the skipper looked to end the pressure created as he attempted a scoop, but it fell short of Shardul Thakur at short fine leg. Rohit eventually ended it with a four slapped through the covers.

Pant brought back pace into the attack as he handed over the ball to young Nagarkoti, who is making his DC debut today. Short and wide and Rohit chopped it through to third man region for a boundary in the first ball. In the third ball, he went back of the length and angled it to leg side and you know what follows when Rohit is at the other end - six pulled over fine leg. Ishan joined the party, smashing the wider delivery through point for a boundary. 16 runs came off the over.

After a strong start from Mumbai, Rishabh Pant brought in Axar Patel to stop the run-scoring, but Ishan managed to slip in an unusual boundary. He looked to whip it across, but got the leading edge off which the ball went slightly over the bowler and then raced away towards the boundary.

In the second over of the game, against Khaleel Ahmed, Ishan punched the outside-off delivery through the covers for his first boundary in the game.

He tucked the leg-side angled delivery from Thakur down to fine leg and elegantly lobbed the length delivery high and over long off for a six. 10 runs came off the first over.

Rishabh Pant: We're going to bowl first. Very excited. The first thing we wanted to was to win the toss (and then he goes on to name his XI). I think the wicket looks nice to bat. In domestic cricket we have played enough here and we'll be fine.

Rohit Sharma: We would have bowled first as well. It is a fresh pitch and we don't know what to expect. It looks like a good batting track and there would be a bit of movement because of the green tinge. Whenever we play in Mumbai, we have to adjust quickly because the wickets are fresh. There are some restrictions in terms of capacity, but always nice to some crowds in.

"Playing here for the first time since 2015 and it is not a big ground. It's red soil pitches here usually in this part of the country and there is so much grass here, expect some seam movement. I don't think there's so many runs and dew is not gonna be a factor."
