Devusinh Chauhan won the seat after defeating Congress’ Dinsha Patel in the 2014 Lok Sabha election. In the 2009 general election, Patel had won from the seat.
Kheda constituency comprises seven assembly segments – Daskroi, Dholka, Matar, Nadiad, Mehmedabad which is reserved for members of Scheduled Caste, Mahudha and Kapadvanj.
Gujarat’s 26 Lok Sabha seats will go to polls in a single phase on April 23. The votes will be counted on May 23.
