One of the 48 parliamentary seats in Maharashtra, Nagpur was represented by Congress’s Vilas Muttemwar in 1998, 1999, 2004 and 2009.

The constituency has added more than five lakh voters since the 2014 general election and 52 polling stations have been identified as ‘critical’
