Lok Sabha election 2019: Baramati in Maharashtra has been a Pawar stronghold

Baramati Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra is a bastion of the Nationalist Congress Party, which has held the seat since 1991.

Sharad Pawar represented the seat till 2004 and his daughter Supriya Sule has won past two elections from the constituency.

In 2014, the vote share of NCP candidate Sule came down to 48% as compared to 66% of 2009.

The winning margin in 2014 was nearly 70,000 votes

Maharashtra’s 48 constituencies will vote to elect members to the Lok Sabha in four phases on April 11,18, 23 and 29.
