The parliamentary constituency of Godda has been won by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since 1996, except in 2004 when the Congress’ Furkan Ansari was successful.
The Godda Lok Sabha seat is one of the 14 parliamentary constituencies in Jharkhand and covers the Godda district and parts of Deoghar and Dumka districts.
