The city witnessed a slight increase in minimum temperature at 8.1 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, against 7.4 degrees Celsius recorded the previous day.

“As per the weather forecast, the minimum temperature in the city will remain around 10 degrees Celsius till January 17,” said Anupam Kashyapi, head of the weather forecasting department at India Meteorological Department (IMD), Pune.

Jalgaon with a minimum temperature of 7.5 degrees Celsius was the coldest in the state. From Central Maharashtra, Mahabaleshwar continues to witness minimum temperature in two digits with 13.6 degrees Celsius. Nashik recorded 9 degrees Celsius.
In Marathwada, Aurangabad recorded 8.2 degrees Celsius followed by Parbhani (11 degrees Celsius) and Nanded (12 degrees Celsius).
In Vidarbha, Gondia was coldest at 9.4 degree Celsius followed by Nagpur (10.1 degrees Celsius). In other cities – Akola, Amravati, Buldhana, Bramhapuri, Chandrapur, Washim, Wardha, and Yavatmal minimum temperature was recorded above 11 degrees Celsius.
