Maximum temperature increases to 34.1 degrees Celsius in Pune
Maximum temperature of Pune city will continue to rise till February 10 and will reach 36 degrees Celsius
The maximum temperature of Pune city (Shivajinagar) increased to 34.1 degrees Celsius on Monday which is the highest of the season. The minimum temperature was 11.5 degrees Celsius.

Vineet Kumar, a former research scientist at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) and present a post-doctoral researcher at Typhoon Research Center, Jeju National University, South Korea, said, “Pune Shivajinagar has hit top gear, today (Monday) as temperature is 34.1 degrees Celsius, highest of the season and 3 degrees above normal, also Pune Shivajinagar’s maximum temperature has increased by a whopping 5.6 degrees Celsius in just the last six days.”
“Due to the building of the high-pressure area, over Maharashtra, it is leading to subsidence, sinking of air due to which there is a rise in the temperature. Maximum temperature of Pune city will continue to rise till February 10 and will reach 36 degrees Celsius. The temperature will be increasing all over Maharashtra,” added Kumar.
Bramhapuri recorded the highest temperature of the day in the state at 35.6 degrees Celsius. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Jalgaon at 10.3 degrees Celsius.
In central Maharashtra, Solapur recorded the highest maximum temperature at 35.4 degrees Celsius, whereas in Marathwada, Nanded recorded the highest maximum temperature at 33.2 degrees Celsius.
