Bihar: Foreigner detained while crossing Indo-Nepal border without valid documents
The person claimed to be a victim of cyber fraud committed by somebody at Kolkata while he was in Kathmandu
Security forces on Tuesday arrested a 46-year-old foreign national while he was trying to cross the border in Nepal without valid documents near Bihar’s Raxaul in East Champaran district.

Confirming the development, IPS officer Chandra Prakash Kumar, who is the sub divisional police officer (SDPO) at Raxaul, said the foreign national, identified as Kasparek Peter of Czech Republic, was detained by officials deployed at the border.
“During the course of interrogation, we came to know that he gained entered Indian territory on January 5 and stayed at Kolkata,” the SDPO said, adding that further investigations are underway.
Other official sources deployed at border said the person claimed to be a victim of cyber fraud committed by somebody at Kolkata while he was in Kathmandu.
“He has confessed to have crossed the border without valid documents due to this reason. We have handed him over to the local police,” said an official on conditions of anonymity.
