‘Environment Week’ begins at Prayagraj’s IIIT-A

The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-A) has launched a week-long Environment Week programme to encourage energy efficiency and greater sustainability. The director of the institute, Prof Mukul Sharad Sutaone, highlighted the importance of preserving the environment and maintaining the balance of ecological systems. As part of the initiative, members of the IIIT-A community will be using their air conditioning units at 24°C to increase energy efficiency, while a plantation drive will contribute to the creation of a greener campus.
