A 10-year-old boy abducted by his uncle for ransom died during treatment at BRD Medical College. The accused was arrested and confessed to the crime.
A 10-year-old boy, Ayush, who was abducted by his uncle on Wednesday night and was later rescued by police on Thursday, died during treatment at the BRD Medical College. The incident occurred at Goradeeh village under the Harpur police station limits.

Police arrested the accused on Wednesday night, and after interrogation, the accused accepted his crime and told the police where the abducted boy was. He said that he had abducted the boy for money.
Police personnel rushed to Katai Tikar overbridge at River Aami and found the boy tied up and face stuffed with cloth. He was admitted to BRD Medical College where he died during treatment. Police have arrested the accused, Ram Singh. Officials said Ram Singh and the deceased boy’s father, Satynarayan Singh, are cousins.
Satynarayan Singh said that he got a job for his brother at a biscuit-manufacturing company in Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority, but his cousin killed his only son.
On Wednesday evening, when Ayiush did not return from school, they searched for him in the village, and late in the evening, registered a complaint at the police station, officials said.
