Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced that the upcoming Versova-Bandra Sea Link in Mumbai will be named after Hindutva leader V.D. Savarkar. The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) will be named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The decisions were made during a state cabinet meeting. The Versova-Bandra Sea Link, part of the coastal road project, is an eight-lane sea bridge that will connect Versova to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The MTHL is an under-construction 21.8 km road bridge that will connect Mumbai with Navi Mumbai.
