Nuh police start drone survey to identify hideouts in Aravallis
Police on Monday produced 23 suspects before a court and 15 of them were sent to 14-day judicial custody, while eight were taken on police remand, said police
The Nuh police on Monday conducted a drone survey in the Aravallis to trace suspects allegedly involved in the communal clashes that broke out in the district on July 31. Police said there is a possibility that some of the rioters have taken refuge in the hills to evade arrest and the drone survey will help them zero in on them.

“The suspects have taken shelter in the rugged terrains of the Aravallis. They are well aware of the hideouts in the hillocks. The drone survey will help us identify their hideouts and help us to keep an eye on their movement,” said Narendra Bijarniya, superintendent of police, Nuh.
SP Bijarniya said the suspects were able to track the movement of police teams since they were sitting at a height. “Tracing the suspects has become time consuming. We have held meetings with the panchayats and villagers to help us identify them and to make them surrender,” he said.
The SP also said that police have gathered leads from neighbouring districts in Rajasthan such as Bharatpur, where young men and boys were asked to take part in last week’s communal violence.
“We have sought support from the Rajasthan Police and all CCTV footage and video records will be shared with them to trace and apprehend the suspects. Teams are also recovering forensic evidence from the seized weapons, petrol cans, bottles and other items used in the violence,” SP Bijarniya added.
The Nuh police have so far registered 56 FIRs.
Police on Monday produced 23 suspects before a court and 15 of them were sent to 14-day judicial custody, while eight were taken on police remand, said police.
Forensic experts also collected samples of fingerprints from stones, bottles, cans, and other items that were used in the violence that erupted in Nuh, Tauru, Nalhar crossing, Badkali Chowk and Singar village, said police.
