A two-page note addressed to the station house officer of Farrukhnagar police station was found from his car. According to police, the family mentioned in the note is that of an Alwar man, and his two wives and two sons, who are known to be politically connected. Police are yet to make any arrests in the case. They said that no one was present at the school at the time of the incident because it was a Sunday.

Police said that the deceased, a resident of the area, reached the spot in his car at around 11.30am on Sunday. He left the suicide note on the car seat and called his uncle. However, his uncle did not answer and called him back after a few minutes. The deceased told him that he was going to end his life and that he has left a note. The uncle soon called the man’s brother but by the time his family members reached the spot, he had already killed himself.

Investigators said that prima facie it seemed that the deceased jumped the school’s periphery wall to reach inside. He alleged that the Alwar man was pressuring him to lend more money. Investigators said the deceased alleged that the suspect was continuously threatening to book him in a rape case if he didn’t lend him more money.

They said that the deceased alleged that the family finally submitted a complaint against him, following which an FIR under sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code )IPC) was registered at women’s police station, Alwar, on July 29.

Based on a complaint filed by the deceased man’s uncle, an FIR against five suspects was registered under sections 306 (abetment of suicide) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC at Farrukhnagar police station on Sunday evening.

Inspector Jitender Singh, station house officer, Farrukhnagar police station, said that police have started investigation. “We are trying to corroborate all the facts and will act accordingly. It is not yet clear why the deceased loaned money to the suspect,” he said. The SHO said that the body was handed over to family after autopsy on Monday.
