Four held for assaulting mining officials in Sohna

Four men have been arrested in Gurugram for attacking a team of officials during a raid on illegal sand mining. Anil Kumar, the mining officer leading the eight-strong team, suffered a fractured hand during the attack by around a dozen men carrying sticks in Sancholi village on Wednesday. The suspects fled when the officials raised the alarm, leaving behind an earthmoving machine. A case has been registered against 12 suspects. The arrested men were all from the nearby town of Sohna.
