JNU restricts entry of outsiders from 10pm to 6am

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has imposed restrictions on the entry of non-resident vehicles on its campus from 10 pm to 6 am after four men attempted to abduct and molest two women students. The university has also mandated that all residents produce identification cards and identify their guests at the gate in person or via phone calls. Students have accused the university authorities of failing to enforce existing security policies. The incident follows several other security lapses at the university, and has led to protests by student groups demanding action to improve safety.

Ludhiana: Robbers’ gang busted, stolen mobiles seized

Police in Ludhiana busted a robbery gang, arresting four suspects and recovering 23 mobile phones, five motorcycles, and other stolen items. The criminals targeted multiple city areas, threatening victims with weapons and committing at least six robberies since December 2024.
