Himachal govt releases 3% DA instalment

The Himachal Pradesh government on Thursday said the state government employees will get an additional three percentage point dearness allowance (DA).

The DA has been enhanced from the existing rate of 31 per cent to 34 per cent, with effect from January 1, 2022, a notification issued by the chief secretary here on Thursday said.

The orders would also be applicable to all-India services, Himachal Pradesh judicial services officers and employees covered under the UGC scales, it said. The additional DA would be paid in cash from April.

The arrears from January 1 last year to March 31 would be credited to the GPF account and paid in cash to employees who retired after January 1 last year.
