The schedule, which will remain in effect until October 25,2025, will see the number of total flights at the airport going up from 100 to 104.
As per the summer schedule released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), a total of 52 arrival and 52 departure flights will operate from the airport during these months.
Meanwhile, flyers’ wait for connectivity to more abroad destinations continues as no new international flights have been introduced.
The airport will continue to offer only two international flights—to Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This, despite Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann’s assurance in December that talks were on with multiple airlines to start flights to Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto and European countries.
