Ex-Punjab minister Sunder Sham gets bail for four weeks

Former industries minister Sunder Sham Arora has been granted interim bail for four weeks by the Punjab and Haryana high court in relation to an alleged illegal transfer of an industrial plot to a real estate company for the creation of a township in Phase 9 Industrial area in Mohali. Arora has been in jail since October 15, 2022, when he was arrested for allegedly offering a bribe to a senior officer to settle a graft case. The FIR in question in relation to the plot scam was registered on January 5, and Arora is named as one of 11 officials accused in the case.
