The accused were identified as Harinder Singh of Mullanpur in Mohali and Gagandeep Singh of Bathinda.

First, they allegedly stared at the students and went away. Later, they returned and passed some objectionable comments at them, it was alleged.
Police said when the girls confronted them, other students started gathering, following which the accused threatened the victims and fled the spot.
The complainant was able to jot down the bike’s registration number, following which police nabbed both the accused under Sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Sector 11 police station.
