Observers to hear bypoll complaints at Gymkhana Club
Jalandhar The three election observers appointed by the Election Commission of India for the Jalandhar West (SC) assembly bypoll will hear byelection-related complaints and issues at the local Gymkhana Club. General observer Uttam Kumar Patra, police observer Daluram Tenivar, and expenditure observer Meenu Susan Abraham will be available at the election cell established in the library of the Gymkhana Club from 11 am to 12 pm on working days. The general public can meet them for any election-related issues/complaints.

PSPCL boosts renewable energy capacity
Patiala Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has taken a significant stride towards meeting the state’s growing power demand while promoting sustainable energy sources. Power minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that the solar power project of 50-megawatt (MW) capacity at village Karamgarh, Malout, has already been operationalised. Along with this, a solar power project of 4 MW at Tarkhanwala village, Bathinda, has also been operationalised. Consequent upon the initiative, Punjab’s cumulative installed solar power capacity has now reached 2,081 MW. The minister said that solar power projects of 2,850 MW would also be commissioned soon.
