On November 6, Ankur, a resident of Sector 3, had informed the police that he was robbed of his car at gunpoint near petrol pump in Pipli, while he was returning from Chandigarh a night before.

Karnal : After completion of two days of police remand, gangster Shamsher Singh alias Monu Rana was on Monday presented before a Yamunanagar court that sent him to a day of remand again in connection with 20 deaths due to consumption of spurious liquor in the state. Rana, a resident of Ambala’s Barara town, was brought on production warrant from a jail on Saturday. The Ambala police will also seek his remand this week. Sonepat’s air worse than Delhi
Karnal : Sonepat district in the national capital region (NCR) recorded worse air than Delhi and toxic in Haryana on Monday. As per the Central Pollution Control Board’s bulletin on Air Quality Index (AQI) at 4 pm, Sonepat’s air was recorded at 371, while Delhi’s air was at 348, both in ‘very poor’ category. Other places in the ‘very poor’ category were Faridabad (329), Fatehabad (328) and Sirsa (341). Air in Bhiwani (294), Rohtak (294), Dharuhera (Rewari) (286), Hisar (266), Gurugram (261), Kurukshetra (214) and Kaithal (202) were in the ‘poor’ category.
