13.4 kg of ‘meow meow’ worth Rs 2.73 crore seized in Mumbai, two arrested
During initial interrogation of the duo it is come to fore that the drugs were sent from Dubai by a wanted accused in the case.
In one of the major drug rackets busted by Mumbai Police in recent time, the Amboli police arrested two men and recovered a total of 13.4 kg of mephedrone (MD), also known as ‘meow meow’, worth ₹2.73 crore from them.

During initial interrogation of the duo it is come to fore that the drugs were sent from Dubai by a wanted accused in the case.
Confirming the arrest, deputy commissioner of police, zone IX, Paramjeet Singh Dahiya said, “We had received a tip off about the drugs peddlers coming to the city. Acting on the tip off a trap was laid and we managed to arrest them. One more accused is wanted in the case at this stage.”
A team comprising of inspector Gajanan Sargar, sub inspector Daya Nayak and assistant inspector Ravindra Kalamkar arrested them around 3.50 am in Amboli area on Tuesday. The duo had come to the spot in a White Ertiga car. About 2 kg of MD was found in their possession.
The accused are identified as Krishna Dinesh Choudhary 31, Mukesh Krishna Takale 31. The police then conducted house searches at their residences in Kandivali and Dahisar. At Choudhary’s Kandivali residence they found 11.4kg of MD. In total 13.4 kg of MD was seized from the duo.
The accused were produced before a magistrate court on Wednesday and remanded to police custody for two days. During interrogation of the duo the Amboli police found out that the drugs were sent by one Kailash Rajput 50. Rajput is said to be an infamous drug dealer.
He was arrested few years back by the a central agency in a drugs peddling case, the duo told police.
Rajput has three more crime cases against him in Delhi in which he is wanted.
He is said to be based in Dubai.
