Human beings are sentimental creatures, so much so that we often extend our emotions to inanimate objects. Like that hoodie from college, now two sizes too tight, lying rolled up in an overstuffed wardrobe. Or that first watch dad gifted, which now lies broken under a pile in the closet. Or those innumerable things that we just seem to collect – vases, toys, mementoes, souvenirs, showpieces – strewn across every inch of space available.
