HT-Nielsen top 10: The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo rules as fiction lead

Here’s your weekly digest of the best-selling fiction, non-fiction and children’s books.

This week, Paulo Coehlo’s The Alchemist continued to lead the bestselling fiction list. It’s followed by Chetan Bhagat’s One Indian Girl, Ravinder Singh’s Will You Still Love Me? and Sudeep Nagarkar’s She Friend-Zoned My Love. On number five is Dan Brown’s Origin.

In the non-fiction list, the leader remains unchanged and that’s Mark Manson’s The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. Next on the list are Yuval Noah Harari’s Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind, Kamlesh D Patel’s The Heartfulness Way and Mammen Matthew’s Manorama Yearbook 2018, respectively. Occupying the fifth spot is new entrant Benjamin Graham’s The Intelligent Investor, The Definitive Book on Value Investing.

Coming to the list of best-selling children’s books by international publishers, at number one position this week too is Rick Riordan’s The Burning Maze. Jeff Kinney’s Wimpy Kid book, The Getaway retains its second position. Next are JK Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. This is followed by John Green’s Turtles All the Way Down, last week’s number five.

In the list of best-selling children’s books in Indian publishing, the leader remains unbeaten - Ruskin Bond’s The Blue Umbrella. Next come Ruskin Bond’s Great Stories for Children, Rungeen Singh’s The Best of Tenali Raman and Mahabharata.
