Sushant Singh Rajput was very very good in Dhoni biopic: Katrina Kaif

Not many people may know about this, but Sushant Singh Rajput and Katrina Kaif were supposed to work together in director Abhishek Kapoor’s last film, Fitoor. They also came close to working together in Half Girlfriend, but that did not materialise. Katrina, though, is all praise for the actor’s performance in the MS Dhoni biopic.

Katrina was recently asked who her favourite actor was during a Facebook live chat, which was hosted by her. She immediately named Sushant. Katrina said, “I believe (have heard) that Sushant was very very good in Dhoni, which just released. I met my friend Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor) a few days back, who of course, was the director of Fitoor, which we did recently. And he said that he (Sushant) has done some amazing work.Congratulations there, to him (sic).”

When HT Café contacted Sushant, the actor was unaware of the praise he received from the Dhoom 3 (2013) actor. He says, “I hope Katrina watches the film soon, and feels the same [about my performance]. I can flaunt about it in front of friends back in Delhi,” says Sushant, laughing. The actor’s film has also made it to the 100 crore club, with more than 130 crore in earnings at the Indian box office.
