Student of the Year Tiger Shroff accepts he has never been to college, says films have been his only college

Actor Tiger Shroff will soon be seen as a college student in Karan Johar’s next film, Student of the Year 2. However, the actor has revealed that he has never been to a real college in his life.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, while appearing on The Kapil Sharma Show, Tiger was asked by the show’s host Kapil Sharma what was the difference between a real college and the larger-than-life version one sees in Student of Year series. Tiger said he would not know as he has never been to one. He went on to say that immediately after school he joined the sets of his first film Heropanti.

In Student of the Year 2, Tiger plays a kabbadi player, a role for which he trained hard. According to the report, he trained with professionals for two months to get his act right.

The film’s many songs and trailer have created a buzz around the film. Alia has done a cameo in the film and will appear in a song with Tiger. Speaking about shooting for it, he said, “We had so much fun shooting the song. Personally, I have never done a dance number like that…working with Alia was an amazing experience. Though she is such a big star, she was open and cooperative on set while shooting the song.”

Student of the Year 2 is the sequel to the 2012 hit Student of the Year. The latter marks the Bollywood debut of actors Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra. Actors Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday will be making their Bollywood debut in in this film. Student of the Year 2 has been directed by Punit Malhotra. It is slated to release on May 10.
