Sana Khan on role in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha: Nothing bigger than a film that has reach
Actor Sana Khan, who has a cameo in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha — starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar — was impressed by the concept of the film, based on PM Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Actor Sana Khan shot to fame when she appeared on the reality show, Bigg Boss Season 6, in 2012. Her acting career took a big leap with the Salman Khan-starrer, Jai Ho (2014), in which she played a pivotal role.
Now, all set to appear in actor Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, she says, “When I heard the title for the first time, I immediately understood that the subject deals with sanitation issues in our country.”
Though Sana only has a cameo in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha — which releases on August 11 — she is content with her role because she was able to be a part of something which offered the audience a message along with entertainment.
“When I got the call to become a part of the film, I was very happy, because I was impressed with the concept. This is one of those rare films where even if you get two-three dialogues, your character is bound to make an impact. I was never bothered by the length of the role. Nothing gets better than a big film like Toilet... spreading a message, which you can be sure will reach out to many,” says the 29-year old, who last starred in the film, Wajah Tum Ho (2016).
