Ranveer Singh and his ‘chumma’ for Akshay Kumar

If there is one person who can redefine being weird and cool (and weirdly cool too), it has to be Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. From playing Hrithik Roshan’s Krish character in the middle of a street to being the cute ‘boyfriend’ unafraid of flaunting his affection, he has often proved his mettle.

On Wednesday, the actor found another way to show his quirky side, and this time it was for Akshay Kumar’s benefit.

Dressed up as a navy officer, Ranveer starred in a video he posted on Facebook, in which he enters the frame saying, “Akki sahab, aap Rustom hain aur main chupa rustom!”

He then goes on to perform a gig on Akshay’s yesteryear hit number Zeher Hai Ki Pyaar Hai from Sabse Bada Khiladi (1995).

Akshay Kumar’s Rustom is slated to hit theatres on August 12, and tells the story of naval officer KM Nanavati, who murdered his wife’s lover Prem Ahuja and subsequently turned himself in.

Akshay Kumar was amused to watch Ranveer.

The movie, directed by debutant Tinu Suresh Desai and written by Vipul K Rawal, stars Akshay, Ileana D’Cruz and Vikram Makhija.
