Rain alert! Happy Bhag Jayegi cast’s quick thinking saves the day

Director Mudassar Aziz , who is shooting for the sequel of Happy Bhag Jayegi in Malaysia, could have been in a bit of trouble when unexpected rain stalled their shoot. What could have spelled waste of time and money was quickly turned to the director’s advantage by the quick thinking of the cast and crew.

“Though every film team has a bad weather possibility in their mind,[but] we were not [at all] expecting rain.... but heavy downpour started all of a sudden. We had to stop the outdoor shoot instantly, but instead of stopping the shoot completely, the crew decided to shoot the indoor scenes and we shifted to a different spot,” says Mudassar.

The film stars actors Sonakshi Sinha, Diana Penty, Ali Fazal, Jassi Gill and Jimmy Sheirgill in the lead. Mudassar is glad to be working with a “smart team”.

“I am really glad that I am working with these people because they are extremely adjusting and have great team spirit. They were all quick to do another scene to save time,” says the director, who also directed Happy Bhag Jayegi (2016).The team resumed outdoor shoots after two days when the rains finally stopped.
