Priya Prakash Varrier on rumours of dating co-star Roshan Abdul Rahoof: I would let the rumours be

Priya Prakash Varrier became an overnight sensation after she winked her way into everyone’s hearts, but little did she anticipate that she’ll soon be romantically linked with her co-star — from that same viral video — Roshan Abdul Raoof. However, if rumour mills were to be true the two have, indeed, taken their on-screen romance off-screen. After their big screen debut with the Malayalam film, Oru Adaar Love, the duo’s social media banter, including Priya’s birthday wish for Roshan on April 23: “I want you to know how much you mean to me” has only added more fuel to the rumours.

When we caught up with her to ask what really is going on, Priya first tried to duck the question with a laugh. When we prodded further, she finally shared, “I would let the rumours be. There is nothing more that I can say. [Roshan] is a dear friend and we share a good rapport. That’s about it.”

When asked if she would like to work with Roshan once again, and she quickly said, “Definitely, why not? He is an amazing actor and a very good dancer. I think we complement each other on screen. The bond that we share otherwise will also help us to perform better on screen.” So when would we get to see them working together next? “Hopefully soon,” shared Priya.

Meanwhile, Priya will be seen next making her Bollywood debut with Sridevi Bungalow, and a trilingual film (Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu) Love Hackers.

Priya has already shot for Sridevi Bungalow and is now busy with Love Hackers, which deals with the subject of cybercrime. “I play a girl who gets trapped in the darker side of the cyber world,” Priya ends.
