Parineeti Chopra throws shade at trolls in new pic: It’s burgundy, not red

Parineeti Chopra seems to be aware of the divisive reaction her new hair colour is getting, and has posted a couple of images that seemingly take digs at some of the venomous comments that have been made against her.

Taking to Instagram, Parineeti posted a paparazzi picture of herself which she captioned, ‘Burgundy’. In two other pictures that she posted on her Instagram stories, the actor repeated that her hair colour was ‘burgundy’ and asked, ‘Who said red?’

This could be a veiled dig at everyone who has been calling her names on social media for her new ‘red hair’. Parineeti in a statement Friday said, “I wanted to try something i have never done before. So Ruchika the film’s producer suggested we go red! Loved the idea so went ahead. But must say its veryyyy high maintenance its teaching me how to be a more patient human being, Haha!”

Several people had written in the comments section of her pictures that she looked like a ‘witch’ and that the colour did not go with her skin tone, according to a DNA report.

Parineeti was spotted in Mumbai after having spent an entire week in the Maldives. The actor had posted several pictures from her vacation on social media. Parineeti will be next seen in Namastey England with Arjun Kapoor. She will also be seen in Jabaraiya Jodi opposite her Hasee to Phasee co-star, Sidharth Malhotra.
