Nushrat reacts to reports that she isn’t keen to work on Kartik: It’s not true at all

They starred together in one film after the other and became a popular couple, too, yet it didn’t stop gossipmongers from speculating that things aren’t well between actors Nushrat Bharucha and Kartik Aaryan. Stories are doing the rounds that Nushrat and Kartik do not enjoy working with each other and are not keen to collaborate on any other project.

Mention this to Nushrat, and she laughs, saying there is “absolutely no problem” between the two, whose films together include Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), Akaash Vani (2013) and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015).

“I’m more than happy to work with him [Kartik], in fact, the whole team (who made all the four films), again and again. And I’m hoping we collaborate again, soon. We all have grown with these films and learnt so much. We will never be able to forget the experience we have had together,” says Nushrat, adding as actors, they “might have had different paths and career graphs” but their our “bond remains intact”.

Soon after the duo delivered a hit at the box office with the Bollywood hit Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), Kartik went on to sign big films. His last release, Luka Chuppi, was also successful.

Nushrat, who will next be seen alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in Dream Girl, says she doesn’t understand why these rumours started in the first place and why people are believing them. “Kartik and I are working on different [film] sets, shooting for different projects, so we don’t get time to chat or meet often. But that does not mean we are not on talking terms or we do not want to work together, again,” she asserts.

In fact, Nushrat shares that she hasn’t had the time to watch Luka Chuppi and she’s very keen on catching up. “I have heard so much about the film and I told Kartik that I’m surely going to watch it. Just that when it released, I was not in India, and then I started shooting. So, the moment I get time, watching Luka Chuppi is on my to-do list,” signs off the actor.
