Naagin star Mouni Roy has already signed her second Bollywood project, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra.

Even before her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar, Gold, is released, TV star Mouni Roy has already bagged another major project in tinsel town. Reports claim she will be part of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra that stars Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.

After Akshay Kumar’s Gold, Mouni Roy will be seen in Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Brahmastra.

A Mumbai Mirror quoted a source as saying, “Mouni recently came on board and will start shooting early next year, when the film goes on the floors. For now, Ayan is keeping other details of her role under wraps.”

Brahmastra is a fantasy adventure film, the first part of a trilogy and it will hit the screens on August 15, 2019.

Talking about his film, Ayan had earlier said, “I will not be able to give information right now but all I can say is, this film is a modern day film. It is set in India as it exists today but the name of the film is ‘Brahmastra’ because the energy, wisdom and powers in the film come from ancient India. As far as costumes are concerned, there are some which may not be the way you would expect them to be.”

“It’s the biggest project of my life. All my hopes are pinned on this film. I hope it becomes the biggest success... I am very excited about the cast but I hope the film gets even bigger than the cast,” he added.

Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions will collaborate with Fox Star Studios and Namit Malhotra, CEO of Prime Focus for Brahmastra.

On the other hand, Mouni’s Gold has completed two shooting schedules in London and Patiala. Directed by Reema Kagti, the film is based on the life of hockey player Balbir Singh, who led India to victory in three consecutive Olympics in 1948, 1952 and 1956. The movie also stars Kunal Kapoor and Amit Sadh in pivotal roles. The film, being produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their banner Excel Entertainment, will hit the theatres on August 15 next year.
