Despite being aware of the fact that the film’s lead actress was a fellow passenger, the man continued watching the film via his iPhone projector. Infuriated by the man’s act, Kriti took to Twitter to shame the man. “Someone watchin pirated version of Dilwale in front of me on phone in the flight! Annoyed!! #SayNoToPiracy,” she wrote along with the image of the man. The tweet was shared and liked over 4,000 times.

The man, however, remained unfazed as Kriti’s following tweets showed. She wrote: “Sad to c the hardwork of so many ppl bein watched in such pathetic quality!Pls enjoy films in cinemas #SayNoToPiracy.”

When one online user pointed out how piracy is a criminal offence, Kriti said that she had told her fellow passenger as much. She wrote: ‘Told him politely that he would enjoy the film more in a theatre. But he was busy showin off his projector!’

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Dilwale has earned Rs 141.5 crore on box office till now. It is a hit internationally but the business has remained below expectations given the star names attached to it.

Shetty had said that the sporadic protests against the film by right-wing organisations affected the BO numbers. He should probably add piracy to the list.
